✈️ Quick Summary

🏨 Where I Stayed in Bohol

Airbnb Seaview House w/ Pool & Sea Access

Location: Lila, Bohol

Pros: Less than 2km from the famous Bohol Lila Whale shark watching

Cons: Far from most-known activities

💡 Tip: If you want beachfront accommodation, stay near Alona Beach in Panglao!

🏞️ Things to Do in Bohol

1. Chocolate Hills

Cost: PHP 100 entrance fee

Time Needed: 1 hour

My Experience: An iconic natural wonder! Over 1,200 hills that turn brown in the dry season, making them look like giant chocolate mounds.

Tip: Go early in the morning or late afternoon for the best lighting & fewer crowds.

2. Tarsier Sanctuary

Cost: PHP 60 entrance fee

Time Needed: 30-45 mins

My Experience: Seeing these tiny, wide-eyed primates up close was amazing! They’re super sensitive to noise & light, so you have to stay quiet.

Tip: Visit the Corella Tarsier Sanctuary instead of the more touristy ones—it’s ethical and protects the tarsiers.

3. Loboc River Cruise

Cost: PHP 850 (buffet lunch included)

Time Needed: 1.5-2 hours

My Experience: A relaxing cruise along the jungle-lined river with traditional Filipino music & dance performances.

Tip: Book the earlier cruise to avoid crowds!

💡 Tips & Recommendations – What I Wish I Knew Before Visiting Bohol

  • Rent a motorbike (if you can) – The best way to explore the island at your own pace.

  • Book a private tour for Chocolate Hills – More flexibility & no waiting around.

🔄 What I Would Do Differently Next Time

  • I’d stay closer to the beach – More convenient for swimming and beach access

  • I’d visit Anda Beach – A more secluded alternative to Panglao.

  • I’d try scuba diving in Balicasag Island – One of the best dive spots in the Philippines!

🌟 Final Thoughts – Is Bohol Worth Visiting?

YES! Bohol is the perfect mix of adventure, culture, and tropical paradise. Whether you love beaches, waterfalls, or unique wildlife, this island has it all. Would I go back? Absolutely—I still have more to explore!
