Nusa Lembongan & Ceningan: The Best Beaches, Sunset Spots & Must-Do Activities

Nusa Lembongan is a relaxed island getaway just a short ferry ride from Bali. With stunning beaches, dramatic cliffs, and a laid-back atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to slow down and enjoy island life. In this guide, I’ll share where I stayed, the best things to do, and my top travel tips!

✈️ Quick Summary

Best Place to Stay: D’Coin Lembongan – Just a 3-min walk to Dream Beach

Top Activity: Watching the sunset by Ohana’s– magical!

Would I Go Back? Yes! But I’d stay longer to explore more hidden spots and try more local food like the fish

🏨 Where I Stayed in Nusa Lembongan

D’Coin Lembongan

Location: 3-min walk to Dream Beach

Pros: Close to top attractions, peaceful setting, good breakfast

Cons: A bit remote – hiring a scooter is a must!

💡 Tip: Stay near Dream Beach or Jungutbatu Beach for easy access to top spots!

🏝️ Things to Do & See in Nusa Lembongan

1. Sunset at Devil’s Tears

Cost: 25,00 IDR entrance fee (~25p)

Time Needed: 30 mins – 1 hour

Tip: Be careful – waves can be unpredictable, and the rocks are slippery

2. Dream Beach & Mushroom Bay Beach

Cost: Free

Time Needed: Half-day to relax and explore

My Experience: Beautiful, clean beaches with soft sand and clear water

3. Day Trip to Nusa Ceningan

Yellow Bridge – The famous bright yellow suspension bridge connecting the islands

Blue Lagoon – Stunning turquoise waters, perfect for photos

Secret Beach – The most quiet been I’ve ever seen

💡 Would I Recommend? YES! Nusa Ceningan is smaller but just as beautiful as Lembongan.

💡 Tips & Recommendations – What I Wish I Knew Before Visiting Nusa Lembongan

  • Rent an (electric) scooter – The island is small, you can walk but this is more fun!

  • Cash is king – Many places don’t accept cards, so bring enough cash

  • Stay longer! – 2 nights was too short to see everything properly

🔄 What I Would Do Differently Next Time

  • I’d avoid rushing – a slower pace suits the island’s vibe better

  • I’d book a snorkelling tour – I regret missing out on the coral reefs

  • I’d stay near Jungutbatu Beach – more restaurants & a lively atmosphere

  • I’d spend one extra day exploring Nusa Ceningan properly

🌟 Final Thoughts – Is Nusa Lembongan Worth Visiting?

Absolutely! If you love quiet beaches, island vibes, and stunning sunsets, Nusa Lembongan is a must. It’s less crowded than Nusa Penida and perfect for a relaxing getaway - personally prefer Nusa Lembongan and Cenigan to Penida.
